Halloween

Happy Halloween!
We had a great Halloween weekend.  On Saturday evening Shaun and I went to a gala for his work and our little ones got to spend the evening with their buds, Brody and Grayson, and their parents for a change!  While we were at dinner, Larkin and Brayden got to go to the Halloween festival with their friends.  They had lots of fun playing and eating!

Halloween Eve
Getting ready to go to the Peckinpaugh's for an evening of fun!

A few pics before we left.  At least they are both looking at the camera!

Larkin taking care of "her" baby.

Pumpkin Carving
Larkin and Daddy busy at work.

Brayden enjoying a cookie while the pumpkin carving got underway.

Larkin and Daddy making a deal about something!

Eveyone wanted to be involved in pumpkin carving time.

Our finished pumpkins!

Cookie Decorating
We have the best neighbor!  Brianna brought over some sugar cookies and frosting for Larkin to decorate with.  She had a blast decorating all the different cookies.

 Making a ghost
 Can't forget the sprinkles

Had to stop for a little picture time

 She had to try one!

 Trick or Treat Time
Here is our little fairy getting ready to go and get some candy.

Had to get a picture with Daddy!

Larkin making a practice run at our house.

 Our little monkey.

Brayden had a great first Halloween.  He enjoyed being our adorable monkey!

This was as good of a picture as they would pose for.  We are still working on it!

Our first stop had to be next door to see Brianna and Josh.  Of course our middle stop and last stop also had to be next door to see Josh and all his candy!

Just Having Fun

Good Times
Here are a few pictures from this fall of the kids just having a good time.  They are always entertaining us and we definitely do not have a quiet house anymore!

Our favorite kind of laundry or what Larkin likes to think of as her car.

 Our smiley boy!

I am thinking about crawling! But still just thinking about it.

Help, they are making me wear my sister's hat!

 A little purple pride!

No that is not her Halloween costume, Larkin just wants to be like her daddy!

The State Fair

The State Fair
This year we decided to take the kids to the Arizona State Fair.  This was a big deal since we NEVER go to the fair!  Since we are not big fair goers we decided just to check it out for a few hours on a Sunday morning.  It was pretty much how we remembered... full of greasy food, some interesting people, and lots of unsafe looking rides.  Still we had some of that greasy food, enjoyed our people watching, and had lots of fun at the petting zoo!

Larkin (a.k.a. Catwoman) excited for her first fair experience!

A sand sculpture that was on display.  Very impressive what can be molded out of sand!

Ahhh....  The Petting Zoo!
 Definitely Larkin's favorite place.
She had no problem getting right in there with those animals.

Petting the baby goat.  At least it was close to her size.

Think she might be getting hungry!

Taking a closer look at the wallaby.

 Up close with the Llamas.

Checking out the tractor in honor of Grandpa!

Lunchtime at the fair.  Definitely not what you would call healthy, but still pretty tasty!

The Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch
A few weeks ago we decided that it was finally cool enough (only in the low 80s at 9 am) to go to the pumpkin patch. We had a great day!  We began our morning by grabbing some doughnuts and milk at Krispy Kreme and then headed to Tolmachoff Farms.

Checking out the animals at the petting zoo.

Larkin decided to check out the Three Little Pigs' houses.
Here she is with the first little pig whose house was made out of straw.

Venturing through all of the houses.

Larkin and Daddy pretending to be fruits and veggies!

The Family Corn Maze
Part of the fun at the pumpkin patch was going through the family corn maze.  It is supposed to take about 45 minutes and while in the maze you search for trivia answers and six mailboxes which each have part of the map of how to get out inside.  We had lots of fun and it took exactly 45 minutes.  Once we had all six pieces of our map we discovered that the corn maze was in the shape of a scarecrow.
 Entry to the corn maze.

You can see just how tall it really is!

Larkin and Brayden along for the ride.

Larkin got a little hungry while we were in there!

We made it to the end!

Seeing the Animals
Larkin and Daddy petting some sheep and goats.

 Brayden just hanging out!

Coming back from petting the cows.

Daddy is holding a baby chick for Larkin to pet.  She thought it was, "SO CUTE!"

 Have to pet the horses!

 Checking Out the Pumpkins
Here we are trying to find a good spot for a picture.

Picture time did NOT go so well.
It is hard to get both of them happy and looking at the camera!

Here Brayden is NOT happy and I am not really sure what either one of them are looking at!

Trying to decide which one is the best.
