Back in Kansas!
At the beginning of November I attempted something I had never done before, fly with two kids all by myself. Luckily, Shaun dropped us off at the airport in Arizona and made sure we were safely on our way and Abby was wonderful enough to pick us up as soon as we arrived in Kansas City. Not to mention that our flight was non-stop so that helped. Still, not something I really want to do all the time. That is a lot of stuff to carry and A LOT of entertaining to do all on my own.
We decided to spend a week back in Kansas so that we could catch up with some wonderful old friends, see Grandma and Grandpa, and of course Aunt Tara, Uncle Dan and the cousins. It was a great week and fortunately Shaun joined us for the last few days and graciously flew back home with us. It was so nice to have help with the entertaining and carrying of luggage and car seats!
We were lucky enough to get to spend the week with Abby and her family. It was so nice to stay someplace that had all the kid essentials you could ever want, not to mention a great friend that I finally got to catch up with (mostly after all 4 of our kids were asleep).
A Mini Trip to Grandma's
Since Grandma and Grandpa live a little way from Kansas City, we decided to take a long day trip to spend some time with them. Unfortunately we chose the rainiest day of our trip to go for a visit. However, the kids didn't mind driving in the rain (it actually put them to sleep) and they had a great time playing indoors with their Grandparents! We even took a little drive out to the pasture so we could still see the cows and feed them through the window!
A rainy day at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Cuddle time with Grandma.
Of course they both had to get in on the lovin'!
Brayden having some fun on the piano.
I think he is going to be a natural!
Photo time with Grandma and Grandpa.
This was as cooperative as I could get them to be.
Three of the four are smiling, that is pretty good!
Fun With the Windberg's
We had so much fun staying with Abby and Aaron and their adorable kids! They took great care of us and showed us all sorts of fun places to take the kids. We even got to celebrate Abby's birthday while we were in town.
Abby and baby Henry, what a sweet baby!
Aaron playing around with the girls!
Larkin had so much fun playing with Aaron and Lily.
Aaron was SUCH a good sport!

(an indoor blow up/bounce house place).
Obstacle course time. This one definitely tired out the adults,
but the kids wanted to climb it all day!
Brayden and Lily doing a little bouncing.
Time to See the Family!
Once Shaun arrived, later in the week, we spent the day with his sister and her family. It was so nice getting to see everyone and the kids had a blast. Their cousins were so sweet to them and they loved being spoiled by all. Sure wish we lived closer.
Larkin and Aunt Tara having a tea party while her cousins were still in school.
Getting ready to greet the bus and see the cousins!
Brayden and Garrett deep in conversation.
We still love him even if he is wearing a KU shirt!

What good entertainers!
Coloring with Aunt Tara.
The gang relaxing after eating too much BBQ!
Trying to get a picture of all of the cousins.
Brayden did not want to sit without Mommy.
Of course after picture time was over, Bray went and sat down right in the center of the fireplace and said "cheese".
We tried to get everyone else to fill in around him, but it was a little too late.
Look Who Else We Saw!
Of course while we were in town we tried to see as many friends as we could. The trip would not have been complete without a little time spent with BJ and his daughter. On Saturday we spent the day watching the KSU football game at BJ's and watching our little ones play.
The girls jumping all over their daddies!
Mia posing for a picture and Larkin posing for a wall
(she doesn't always like to cooperate!)
BJ and Shaun in their K-State attire.
The Ubels (or Bokerns)
Of course we spent several nights with Heather and her family. Also, while we were in town we got to be a part of Ashlyn's 1st birthday! What a great party Heather and Ted threw and it was so nice to see so many of her relatives. The day after her party Heather and her parents stopped by to spend a little more time with us.
The Ubel clan.
Trying to get all of our little ones to pose in a picture.
Brayden and Henry were napping.
Larkin giving Noah a little hug.
He wasn't quite sure what to think!

What an easy going baby.
